RETURNING FRANCHISES AND FREEZING PLAYERS
If you will be playing this season with a team in a newly formed league, as opposed to a team in an established league from last year, you can skip this section. Those in an established league from the 2004 season have the option of freezing a maximum of seven (7) players from your current roster. By freezing up to seven players, you will be assured of receiving those players on your roster for this season.
The only restriction on freezing is that you can't freeze more players at a position than you can draft at that position. In other words, you can freeze up to two players from the same draft category except for the Left-handed Starter and Middle Reliever categories, where you can freeze only one player from each (If you're in a 15-team league). Freezing is optional; you may always choose to freeze no players if you wish, or any number up to the maximum of seven.
For Multi-list drafts, if you freeze a player, you lose your first draft choice at that position. If you freeze two players at one position, you lose your first and second draft choices at that position an so on.
